Chris grew up on the beaches in Maryland where he learned to appreciate family, the beach, the ocean, and the laid-back lifestyle. Living on the Eastern Shore, Chris has always had the white sand and warmer waters calling to him. A former member of Captain Quint, Chris took to his own and now writes about his life, stories others have related to him, and though other inspirations that find him.
Kenny has quite the history on the Trop Rock scene, playing with Captain Quint, Nautical Wheelers, as well as other musicians in the Trop Rock genre. Kenny and Chris met back
in the days of Captain Quint.
Ed started banging the drums ( annoying his parents) at the tender age of 12 years old. Ed has played all around the area with bands such as Wintersunn Maxx and Larceny, The Breakfast Club and most recently Third Pearl Band. Ed got the call from Chris in 2012 …. and as they say, the rest is history.
Steve is the newest member to the band, adding the steel pan to the mix. After founding Pan Fried Steel in 2011, Steve has had the pleasure of playing with the likes of Will Kimbrough, Jesse Rice, John Patti and Dennis McCaughey. He has opened up for Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band and John Frinzi .
The CHRIS SACKS BAND has released two CDs. The debut CD, “Nowhere” , had huge success, and the recently released, ” Life, Love and Hightides ” is getting rave reviews. The band plans to be in studio in 2022 to cut its third CD for release.
